I hear what you are saying, particularly the nuclear aspect and I agree to some extent. We are talking potential WW3.
But I would disagree that the wars mentioned were " localised" . Only that people in the West are not as aware of geography and consequences as they are towards Europe. They view " The Middle East" as one generic blob and likewise "SE Asia". they fail to see it as different countries that are as different as France is from The Ukraine.
The consequences are enormous.
The Russian invasion- another huge mistake on their part- of Afghanistan and the subsequent CIA arming and support of "freedom fighters" in the 1980s like Osama Bin Laden had huge consequences didn't it?.. worldwide.
As you will know the US/UK invasion of Iraq directly led to the formation of ISIS which had huge ramifications worldwide and more "locally" in Syria.
