There is a difference between telling the truth and propaganda
and, IMO some on these threads have a problem understanding that.

Remember during the Vietnam & Afghan wars we were fed a lot
of propaganda that the US alliance was winning both wars and
of course the outcomes say the opposite.

Again, IMO, we have the same syndrome here.

Do you still think that the USA won both the Vietnam & Afghan wars?
That said, however, Russia also lost its Afghanistan War!

IMO, Russia will be very aware that its loss of the Afghan War was
the start of the USSR's demise , so, that is why, IMO, it will be
    highly motivated to win this one from a Russian Military perspective;
not from a Putin regime (which is readily replaceable ) perspective

When I look at the President of the Ukraine I see a Tragic Hero
and those of us with a modicum of history know that these Heroes
are not called Tragic for nothing (ask the Greeks!)

PS: Please note that I have not personally attacked you; just politely
expressed a different point of view to yours , perhaps?

Personally I'd love to see The Ukraine drive the Russians with their tails between their
legs back to Russia but that is as unlikely as the Aboriginies has of driving the First Fleet
back into the water in 1788!

Europe & the USA will not risk a Nuclear War over the Ukraine and that is why
I think Western arms & equipment simply wont do the job for the Ukraine.
