It was not indiscriminate bombing in Syria. The Russian bombing in Syria very deliberately targeted al-qaeda, ISIS and the plethora of US backed islamic fundamentalists that the US mobilized in it's Syrian regime change operation to overthrow the Syrian government.
Many of these terrorists traveled directly from the NATO destruction of Libya, via Turkey to Syria.
