    I surely see that Russia invaded Ukraine, but I surely don’t see that USA benefits from the resulting additional high inflation & potential undermining of the USD as global reserve currency.
    The only benefit to the USA that you blokes can come up with is some stuff about the ‘military industrial complex’. The devastating effects of surging inflation are a much bigger beast, believe me.
    If the USA desperately wanted to maintain the status quo then it could have quietly thrown Ukraine to the wolves, kept buying Russian oil, and kept the USD as global reserve currency unchallenged by a motivated Russia / China alliance.
    Then there is the not to be taken lightly risk of global thermonuclear war erupting out of this conflict.
    Personally, not being a conspiracy theorist mind you, I don’t believe that the USA wanted Russia to invade Ukraine.
