There was an election scheduled November 2014 under a compromise deal bringing the 2015 election forward.

The Nazis among the protestors were killing police and vice versa - they wanted to hang him high and not accept any compromise so he bravely ran away, when danger reared its ugly head he bravely turned his tail and fled.....humming the tune of the minstrels of sir Robin....

Under the consitution he was unable to fulfil his duty and seeing what had just happened to Yanukovich the parliament accepted the new reality and saved their own skins - a win/win at the time.

Many of those parties that "supported" ousting Yanukovich are now banned in Ukraine since the recent invasion....
