If you ask me, the whole thing is just another giant scam. Follow the money! Oil Price is almost $100/barrel now just from all the sabre rattling. They are all in on it. Putin gets a higher price for his oil, Biden & Boris get grandstanding and a desperately need distraction from their domestic political woes, Ukraine gets more commission from their gas pipe and a distraction. Besides that, why would Putin invade Ukraine when he just spent billions to building a gas pipe to bypass Ukraine? Not even the EU wants Ukraine - they are a bankrupt welfare state and will be a total sapsucker when the new gas pipe gets turned on. The only risk is, Zelensky knows the economy is bad and will be worse when the new gas pipe gets commissioned, so he wants a war for the distraction, employment and income and has a plan to get Russia out of the Crimea, but I think he is alone on that.
