Yes it frustrates me when people write, becoming woke, and not even bothering to check the history.
That 1941 pogrom on Jews by Ukrainians was shocking and disturbing:

Poles will help the Ukrainians in this time of need (as they should), but they will do it
in spite of all that history in mind (which they'll never forget), - ask any Pole about it, cos they all know about it.
