If Russia get bogged down & weakens, there’s a possibility China could walk into far east Russia. They have been waiting for an opportunity to enter the land they believe is part of theirs, just as Putin’s Ukraine claim. Both are false claims as Ukraine if there was a custodian would be Kivian Slavs & eastern Russia would be Mongolians.

However, better chance of the two red Giants clashing would be the Kazakhstan-China pipeline. If Kazaks bring in Azerbaijan to the party as suppliers of China & Asia, Russia either will invade Kazakhs or lick its fingers. Former is my guess. That may allow Xi to walk in, first to Kazakhstan then through Yatusk to Arctic treasures.
