I don't give a stuff about Putin's 'red lines'. The gangster despot in the Kremlin has no right to dictate to a sovereign nation on what they must do. This is not how civilized nations behave in the global community. Ukraine wants to embrace Europe, and this is their choice. It is for the heroic people of Ukraine to decide what they will do, not murderous thug Putin.
Russia is not a great power. They lost that status when the Soviet Union fell. Their economy is insignificant. They have nuclear weapons and a murderous thug as head of state but he has now overplayed his hand.
The people's of Eastern Europe will no longer be bullied and defiled by Russia. They have had enough of the abuses that they have suffered at Russian hands over the centuries, and during recent past under the tyrannt Stalin. This is the stand of freedom in the face of monstrous aggression. The Russians need to concentrate on growing potato's and making vodka, and leave other nations alone.
