Nuclear war is a zero sum game. Russia knows it. The US knows it.
The only issue is whether the US believes Putin has gone so crazy he would do it. This is unlikely. Basically Russia is bullying the world with nuclear threats.
While I've been stating early on that Russia and China may be wanting to create a new reserve currency, the pathway to this is not going to be smooth.
Uprisings can happen in Russia with the dislocation. It's not a foregone conclusion that the West is a spent force.
