Israels samson option is veiled threats , Putin has issued a warning and only a fool would consider it a ploy.
If Israel perceives an existential threat, they will take the world down along with it -- do you really doubt that ?
I should think the same will apply to Russia, the US and China as well , the only others capable of such a deed.
