That may be the case but I expect many wouldn't have thought they could have lasted and resisted for as long as they have while inflicting such losses on Putin's forces....but he doesn't care about that and will just keep sending more cannon fodder as long as it takes...assuming he can keep finding them and there isn't some kind of revolt at home. It's not over yet and history is littered with examples of brutal invaders and occupiers who eventually fail for various reasons.
