Interesting that Yanyukavich won the most votes during the election , was sworn in and immediately followed the Maiden Revolution.
The legitimate government was overthrown by the populace EU movement.
The Russian language was forbidden by law.
The populace ideas were forced onto the western traditional part of Ukraine.
They neither wanted to be a part of it, nore assimilate with Western Ukraine.
They had a referendum and wanted to break away. The Separtists.
This was the beginning of the Donetsk, Luthansk battle.

Fast forward and over a short space of time the Populace movement has made in road
throughout the western region where the Russian foot print has been systematically removed.
It is not a coincidence.
The Separtists have every right to fight for their land, their values.





The best thing that could have happened to Ukraine in 2010 would have been to divide the country up into 2 and build that big wall.
They are not unified and never will be.
