I was just yesterday investigating converting my property gas heating to EU subsided heat exchange pump plus virtual storage battery ( you probably never heard about it in nursing home).
Europe was always very creative only last few years got stupid by politician like Merkell.
Don't forget even now countries like Norway is 98 % self sufficient on hydro plus exporting energy, France 70% of energy is nuclear and exporting. It is actually very good what is happening even there will be short term inconvenience .
