Maybe because Americans have more war experiences of late? The winning and losing can be curved to suit the reasoning. I too when I looked at a 60km convoy thinks that attacking it is a no brainer. Simplistically taking out the front and middle would cause a traffic jam while sniper can halt the advancement. I'm sure the Russians are not that dumb to think they can cruise in like Americans into Baghdad or maybe they did think this way?
