According to some, Kuchma was concerned about its reputation in the West; because oflack of natural resources to finance his regime he had to show a commitment to democracy in order to be targeted for Western financial assistance.
No conclusive evidence how he got poisoned and who did it. What is your point?
Many have linked Yushchenko's poisoning to a dinner with a group of senior Ukrainian officials (including Volodymyr Satsyuk) that took place on 5 September, 2004.
Yushchenko himself implicated Davyd Zhvania, the godfather of one of his children, of involvement in his dioxin poisoning. Davyd was Georgian and was member of his party and was a government minister.
