Gosh the Ukraine need to rediscover the "winged hussars" again. That victory against overwhelming odds would serve them well in the current war.
I form a conclusion from alot of reading
@AverageJoe. There are alot of people, newspapers, journals. The best are reviewed by their peirs and competitors, and open to criticiism and review, subject to laws in the country that protect human rights. There are
Tens of thousands of professional journalists who contribute to an overall story, competing for the angle, finding points of difference to make their article standout. This is totally different to listening to conspiracy theorists, loners on Youtube, or even worse Russian throttled media. Onesided, narrow focussed, suuly poorly educated and extreme.
There is nothing to celebrate in this war.... unless you are a very dedicated undertaker, or sell oil... and high risk bad outcomes galore.
As Lithunia's president has said (see above), and I agree,
Putin is a pathological liar. His background has created this monster.... younger unstable background, through to his days in the KGB. Tricked Yeltsin into giving him a the position. Yeltsin regretted his appointment once the veneer began to drop. We are seeing aspects of the real Putin, held back by only by a fragile inner circle and a strong wall of "external protest" and military support to Ukraine.
Internal protest of course is smashed, and Opposition non-existent. Back to the USSR... Dictatorship... revolving around around the forced grouping of people of the same "origin"... ie NAZI ideal.
Most of the pretense and lies has cleared, Putin did cross the border with an invasion, in a super cloud of lies. Green Potato a canary of cult who think like Putin quiet rightly said a land grab, about 120,000km2 I think was the number quoted so far. Cities being systematically leveled, looting of countryside, mass deportations and population shredding from the captured areas, war crimes. Terror strikes on larger cities to the west. Civilians killed, children killed...
bascially the innocent killed over long distances to magnify fear.
I personally can't see any value in supporting a murdering dictator trample over a corner of civilisation. Ukraine people were free, they deserve to stay free.
