Huge propaganda effort in the West. Listening to it one would be forgiven thinking Russian invasion is about to collapse from losses, soldiers starving, no fuel and surrendering, Russian forces getting decimated and Ukraine about to roll into Moscow .

If anyone is interested in actual situation:
In reality Russians are doing high risk/high reward operation. Encircling cities while doing massive pincer movements with impressive speed so far.
That 'stuck' column is part of huge pinzer move on Kiev from north. with other forces from East direction of Sumy, direction of Kharkiv. From South up Dnieper river towards Kharkiv and Kiev. Landing party about to cut off Odessa.
These pinzer moves are about to encircle Ukrainian forces in bunch of pockets: North of Kiev, forces in the east fighting in Donbass, etc and encircle Kiev, Odessa, Chernihiv, and bunch of other towns.
Ukraine looks toast.
