    Russia engaged in a defensive action

    it is not "aggression" but is self-defense

    if you like, if it suits your disposition, you can compare Russia's actions to Israel who are currently bombing the hell out of Gaza and have killed many children & civilians already. Israel claims its actions are "self-defense"
