We just automatically presume it was land based (surface to surface) or air to surface.
But especially an airstrike would definitely have been seen coming.
Just odd to me that No defensive systems were triggered as they would also have been seen from miles around prior to the surface detonations!

I'm not sure either. I don't know how they could have launched from sea unless they have some unannounced capability. What is unusual is the strike happened in daylight. Russia teeing off about the AGM88 HARM missiles now, because they weren't declared, so their cover story is well and truly kaput.
