I don't know if China was completely destroyed by the CCP back then but they certainly sowed the seeds for its downfall. Right now China is an elephant heading for the cliff edge, they would be able to pull up but Xi and the CCP keep whipping it on. Someone very brave needs to cut the strap holding their chair so the mahout and entourage fall off then the elephant can slowdown and change direction.
