My guess is that Ukrainian Nationalist are attacking Zaporozhye nuclear plant to make it leak radiation. If they manage to damage plant so it leak a little or a lot it would give NATO excuse to move in and make plant safe in order to protect NATO members by any means necessary. The attacker do know what to attack - reactors cooling system and cooling system power supply. Attackers have no concern what disaster they could create.
