At first, no one was allowed into the car. Then two soldiers approached the car. Behind them are aunt Iryna and her husband Oleksandr. According to them, the car was pierced by bullets from all sides. One of the soldiers pulled out the still alive Ivan - the boy was crying.

Iryna's husband Oleksandr says that the child's ear was wounded, the bullet went through the back of the head. Sophia was also still alive, there was a hole in her chest. Oleg's parents and his wife died on the spot.

Relatives took the children to their car. They rushed to the intensive care unit of the Novaya Kakhovka hospital. But they could not be saved.

The doctor who examined the boy and girl said that they died from multiple gunshot wounds, and that if Sofia and Ivan had been brought earlier, they could have been saved.
