No thermal sights
Auto loader cannot fit longer ammunition
Fire control system is 1A45T The 1A45T FCS is a modified form of the 1A45 fire control system, which was first introduced in service with the T-80U in 1985. It was outdated in 1985!

Design is based on the T-72 platform was selected as the basis for the new generation of tank owing to its cost-effectiveness, simplicity and automotive qualities. The t-72 is more than a 50 year old design!
