I am not questioning Russia's need for mobilisation, I am questioning the claim that Russia has deployed so few troops to date that it has been outnumbered 4 to 1. Such ratios also ignore the fact that Ukraine has to have troops in other areas too. It can hardly leave its border with Russia in the north east, its border with Belarus, or its border with Transnistria unguarded. IMO Russia has always had a numerical advantage on the frontlines, in most areas at least, in both troops and artillery.
