The only time they have really lost this is vs Japanese prior to WW2 and in Afghanistan but in their own domain they play to occupy and control
they won't concede territory and they will never allow an enemy to advance on its own soil like the Nazis did back in WW2
Russia will meet their adversary at the border and attack from it
Something Australia could learn a lot from with territory in our regions
We should literally be aiming to 'occupy' the South Pacific and just as USA operates out of Guam, Hawaii we should operate out of Papua, Solomons etc etc
No point playing police in the region if we are just going to pack up, say farewell and leave the gates wide open
