I don't ignore that fact. Without an well armed enemy there is less casualties sure. But there was already an existing conflict. Russia entering made it bigger. Where did the funding and training come for Azov? Who ordered the initial pogrom-style murders? Probably nobody which is why Ukranian government lost control of this now heavily armed hyper nationalist force.
