Basically, all Putin wants is the return of his abused Ukranian wife to his basement.
Obviously, she doesn't want to return and her friends, some of whom previously escaped the same basement, are firmly set on helping her to stay out of the clutches of her abuser.
Being a 'real' man, Putin is double butt-hurt by this turn of events, now 'mobilising' civilians to join his depleted army, the macho-turncoat Kadyrov and murderous mercenaries of Wagner to have his way with Ukraine.
He fails to realise that increasing the scale of the conflict with more scumbags and unwilling conscripts is still not a path to victory but rather, to a bigger defeat.
The lack of a moral justification for his war is the fatal flaw he cannot overcome.
That glaring absence is illustrated in microcosm on here, by his apologists abject failure to construct any persuasive moral argument from Kremlin talking-points.
