Hmm well it makes Putin/Russia look weak by doing it the way they have done it, IMO. You could say they acted with more measure than the Ukrainians by holding back what they could do but to me it just seems like a stupid move especially with hindsight.
I am hoping in time there will be a reasonable explanation for it, otherwise it will have to be chalked up to Russian ignorance/stupidity. Or even worse, to a collaboration between these two "enemies" to introduce a famine, energy and global supply problems in Europe and across the world.
The first day of the "special operation" should have just cut most of Ukraine's power and communication centres. Let them fester in that situation for a while, after they try to repair it, blow it up again. Minimal missiles, minimal lives lost due to Russian weapons. In fact all deaths that occur due to the flow on effects of lack of electricity/communications could be blamed on a lack of preparedness of the Ukrainian government as much as Russia itself. Much different than actual Russian missiles and Russian soldiers killing people.
