For better or for worse, wether you or I or anybody else like it or not, there has been an ongoing armed conflict between Ukraine and the DPR and LPR followed their declarations of independence after the fascist led coup of 2014.

And it is the Ukrainian army which is attacking these areas, not the Russian army.
