You say that the US wants to have control over the poiltical systems, government and constitutions of Canada and Mexico. Can you provide any evidence of instances where the US has tried to exercise threats against the selection of government or influence the constitution in either of these independent sovereign states. You still haven't managed to answer exactly what the perceived "threat"to Putin was. Unless you mean Ukraine successfully adopting a democratic constitution that might inspire the Russian people to demand their freedom and democratic political reform too??
