So you're saying that because Putin did not invade other NATO members, that somehow proves there is no provocation worth the name? The fact that it was strategically impossible to invade other members would have been a large part of that. The fact that he drew a distinct line in the sand with regards Ukraine is also apparent. The fact that there are Russians in the East of Ukraine is also a factor. The fact that an openly anti Russian president who was put in power with US assistance adds fuel to the fire. It's a nonsense argument to say that something could only be perceived as a threat if Putin suicidally invaded every neighbouring country that was also in NATO.
