well it is indirectly China has learnt an aweful lot from this war . China has learnt the wset CAN be united when it wants and that it's not that easy to invade ...there are risks . Most importantly China has factored in the concept of economic sanctions as reprisal . At thr G20 ...I actually saw Xi smiling in the presence of western leaders ... a little body language signal that maybe China (may) be willing to find a more conciliatory path . Ukraine is setting a precedent and it shouldn't be forgotten that China started this war as a firm ally of russia . Russia getting a blood nose does reflect back on China . No doubt in my mind the unfolding of events in Ukraine have impacted Chinese policy , and positively IMO .
