With Ukies, I am only lookin at the history of where the 'barbarian at the gate' scenario in the geo politics build up. The peace loving and all those warm fuzzy ideals is not the reality. You see the independent right of a nation to align or join with whoever they like and on paper and I concur. Russia see this as a threat to their strategic interest.

NATO knew at the onset it is virtually impossible to meet the Russian invasion head on but yet they offer all this encouragements shall we say, trained their military with SF inputs, etc. Russia made it CLEAR they have to guarantee a neutral stance to NATO membership. Which part isn't clear. I am not discussing the morals of right and wrong. Russia attacked because they CAN. US didn't enter the conflict because they CANNOT.
