Many political types have a Law Degree for some reason.
It's because they're skilled in logical thinking and can cut through an enormous amount of material to reach conclusions. They're skilled at communicating. By and large. Not all are great at it because you always get outliers, but generally politicians have to wade through an enormous amount of material, especially Ministers. The responsibility and work load are colossal. Therefore the more efficiently you can cut through and get to the conclusion and retain information, the better.
Look at the non-lawyers and you have a story. They tend to struggle.
