That's the message their envoys have been conveying to smaller nations. Hence that article about India trying to get clarifications whether they would suffer secondary sanctions by buying discounted Russian oil.

Btw, the EU still pays Russia $755M a day for its gas. Yup, that is per day.

So its hypocritical of the US going around threatening secondary sanctions against smaller nations when its ally NATO members are still buying Russian energy.
