whilst the 'ideal' of a democratic, sovereign nation of Ukraine, was always and still is, valid and reasonable it is also plainly and painfully obvious that the 'organisation' that is Ukraine, did not have the weapons, the personnel, the airforce, the navy, the economy, to enforce it. once again the West has fallen into the 'values' trap / vortex where by in the name of 'freedom and democracy' machines of death and destruction will proliferate throughout the region of Eastern Europe, a place ironically where only four years ago, Russia held the football world cup. Ukraine cannot enforce democracy and neither can the West.. it's hard enough to maintain it within our own borders But Russia can and will enforce it's will and it's sovereignty.. whether we like it or not, because they can I don't like where this is heading at all.. tanks with no air support ? The US is looking to phase out the warthogs why not bundle them up and train the Ukrainians how to use them.. that would actually make sense NATO air support is next.. then we know what comes after that

No. Russia is but a fraction of what was the Soviet Union. A good proportion of the Red Army was Ukrainian. Ukraine was also a centre for the Soviet arms industry. Putin may want it all back but lacks the capacity to get it back. The Stans have told Putin to piss off and the old Wasaw Pact has sided with Ukraine. Get it through to your mind that Putin has exposed Russian WEAKNESS for all to see.
