....in the context of russia being expanionist at other countries expense ...if that were not the case there'd be US antipathy to russia - if they respected ther neoghbours boundaries instead of trying to mainrain and empire and as long as they had propper civil rights in russia

no reason why US and russia HAVE to be enemies ...and when Gorbachev was around the US were happy to envisage rapport .
Putin put an end to that with hos ambitions .
