Is it a perfectly acceptable word? I understand it is a rarely used single word because of its association with the nazis, Hitler. It is used in combination with other words in Germany. You reinforce its Nazi background by suggesting the salute Heil. And the Lol signifies you find this amusing.
In my mind fuhrer fits Putin, like Hitler he is a brutal dictator who believes in military conquest. Things didnt end up well for Fuhrer Hitler, have to suspect Fuhrer Putin wont fair any better.
