The US attempted to invade Cuba then via ex RW Cubans (The Bay of Pigs) but failed.
The Vietnam War lasted 20 years for the USA of which for 10 years the US had serious boots on the ground.
This almost broke the USA; so much so that Nixon had to pull the pin on the USD Gold standard in 1972
to save Forth Knox being looted by trading partners who were loosing confidence in the USD.
So the big question is: Would a 10 year Ukrainian War break Russia before it would break the west including the USA ?
At present there are economic indicators that both Russia and Europe-USA are suffering from this war..
the West due to the inflationary impact of energy price spikes & Russia due to economic sanctions.
(Russia has oodles of cheap energy)
