@watso last time I looked you live in Australia. Going by your lifestyle, which you so proudly display on these pages as checking out garbage left behind by other people on the roadside, and posting your recipes for pigs swill, I would say, you took 'early retirement' because of a workplace injury and you are getting a pension, paid for by the Australian tax payer, the voter, who decides we are in the Western camp - and. Just assuming this is true, you owe this country some allegiance.

for what it is worth but watso's out of pocket expenses will be about $11,000 ... so watso converted ALLof his rtc savings over the years into 10c pieces ... and watso counted them all .. 125,000 of them..

the fee has to be paid up front - and watso will be paying in 10c pieces ..

watso is self funded and has been too lazy to get the commonwealth seniors card .. watso has no idea if that would have made a difference .. but watso does get the standard medicare rebate ..

for what it is worth, but ever since medicare was introduced, watso has not paid one cent in health insurance(prior to medicare, watso did have private health insurance)..

apart from the covid injections, the last time that watso saw a doctor was 4 years ago..

there is no need to visit the doctor - watso just does plenty of cycking, and enjoys good home style pig swill ..oh and watso has not spent a cent on vehicle costs for maybe 15 years ..

oh - and watso does not smoke and does not do drugs(but enjoys a bottle of tawny)..

the bottom line is that watso is only too happy to pay the fee to save his sight (lol lol probably could have been done for a fraction of the cost if watso had gone to asia)

things are moving fast .. it was just over two weeks ago that watso made the first move to have his eyes checked - and now first surgery is booked in for just over 2 weeks time and the second eye - a month after that

if more people were like the greatFATSO WATSO- the whole hospital /health system would collapse

things were moving fast - because watso was paying upfront for all surgery(and had no relevant private health insurance ) and was not in the queue to have it done for free (ie government funded) ..

for what it is worth, but watso had his second eye operation done about a month ago .. and watso could not be happier with the outcome .. all of his rtc savings were well spent

Dear @watso your post is deeply offensive, but I won't defend my parents, I know what they were, how they thought and you could not be further from the truth, but what you say no longer counts, all outed anonymously on an anonymous forum. Why should I feel offended, I can just opt out from reading you and similar characters like you, who inveigle themselves, initially by appearing harmless and 'cute' and 'oh-so-to-be-pitied' or 'admired' in the end to vicious and vindictive, and ready with the knife in the back - that's part of your 'culture' too, it seems.

I humoured you, read your posts, thought you were a bit of an outlier and you were mostly polite.
I apologise about assuming you were 'bludging' - I know too many Slavs who do, or at least they know all the nooks and crannies of our system to get the best out of it, had a Yugoslav boyfriend for 3 years and had to get away from him, by moving to an address unknown etc. etc.
He and his friends were often fun, but more often than not into denigrating women, discussing in great details the virtue of a dry or wet . . . . in public over dinner - I let you fill in the rest. My friend wasn't quite like that, but also boasted how he had made love to a Muslim (Yugoslav) woman on an aeroplane in situ. That's when I decided to leave that Sunday - and I did and had to keep my address secret when I moved. I had other reasons too, for leaving for one, I had helped him clean up a rental house, we worked on - together - for an entire week and on my asking whether he would take me to dinner somewhere nice, he bought me fish and chips.
I do know some of the mentality of Slavs (men in particular), some of it is great, all-embracing, hospitable, but a lot fairly primitive and on top of that they seem to be never-ending whingers with a litany of complaints against the world, women, G.d - you name it - oh yes Germans, I forgot.
