"...Putins aim has always been to conquer Ukraine...." ZERO evidence to support this statement. Plenty of evidence that shows that Putin never intended (and still does not intend) to conquer all of Ukraine militarily.
"...Ukraine clearly rejected..." It was US and EU that rejected a peaceful solution. Majority of Ukrainians never had a say in any of this. Until AFTER the illegal US-backed coup that resulted in an illegal overthrow of a democratically elected government.
