I believe that given current interrelationships, a Trumpist defeat in the US elections will likely trigger an overthrow of the Putinist regime in Russia.
I see Trump as Putin's last survival hope. As such Putin will action whatever whatever high risk direct and indirect strategies are necessary to ensure a Trump win.
Putin will have some surprises planned as the US election warms up.
