Pinning your hopes on a Trump victory in November, as Putin is also doing (more evidence of your aims lining up with the regime you support) shows a level of desperation that the situation is beyond Putin's, and your, control. That Putin is unable to achieve success without the US, via his puppet Trump, granting it to him. This is beside the fact that a Trump victory in November is increasingly unlikely.
