Notice in that northern part, UK/US are much more energy independent therefor perceived to lead the aggressive stance because they have much less to lose. Germany especially have always been the reluctant decision maker and passed on that leadership role to Macron before the way to do the diplomatic shuffling. France is even less dependent on RF energy so that makes Germany the big loser. Most of the other EU members are just hanger clingons, it is sorely proving size (numbers) does not matter but quality does. Now watch Germany economic conditions implode as the war drags on.
