Yeah it doesn't, Putin didn't have to do an unprovoked invasion of a sovereign and democratic and can still withdraw from a country who has formed their own identity for 30 years and always wanted to be part of the Western society and I don't recall you being this vocal when Russia "choose likely-civilian targets of city larks and hotels".
