Classic tactics that many here seem unable to understand, to many it is all about taking territory while Russia aims to destroy and demoralize the opposing troops. Ukrainian troops abilitys are now far from their beginnings at the start of this "SMO" by Russia with basically just the dregs that Ukraine is able to gather as an offensive force, dragged off the streets and forced into combat roles within weeks of being forced to the front, many if able to without being killed by their own side just choose to surrender straight up.
And why not, they are Butchers, or Accountants, Gardeners, Teachers, Supermarket workers just snatched off the street or from their homes and forcibly taken to the front to fight a War that they have no interest in nor ability in either.
80% of the Willing fighters are already dead or maimed and Ukraine is on it's X number of mobilization already after clearing out the Russian Demographic from particular areas. Now they say they are going Country Wide with the latest mobilization over the whole of the country, mind you the elites have already moved their Kids overseas quite a while back. All they have left is unwilling fighters forced to the front with little training and little arty or Air support at all. Ukraine can not win this war.
