Stalin killed around 20.000.000 of his own people as a result of purges and mismanagement ( starvation and diseases).

You would expect that freedom and democracy loving west would have been interfered to stop the genocide of the Soviet people. After all, they have interfered in many countries since WW2 where significantly less people were killed by their governments. They had a 4 year window after the end of the war to do so, until Stalin could have threatened with the nukes. The west is very selective when it comes to identifying and responding to genocides.

Germany kicked of the biggest war in human history which directly or indirectly resulted in deaths of up to 85.000.000 across the globe. Very loyal and trusted partner now.

The West still sees Stalin as a bigger villain. Ok.Putin and the Russian people obviously disagree with that. I would say few other countries think the same.
