Perhaps its you who is not listening to the public rumblings in Europe and elsewhere
regarding the economic impact of the Ukraine war on the cost of living and
its likely impact on the impending global recession.
While there is official national resolve by European NATO member
countries, these democracies have electorates to answer to and
come election time, the verdict will likely be different given that
hip pockets by and large decide elections.
I have contacts in the UK, Germany, Italy & Ireland and while they
were applauding the Ukraine's military resistance to Russia 3 months ago,
their concerns about their cost of living and the uncertainty of this war
seems to be religating the War to at least 2nd place.
IMO this upcoming Northern Winter will be revealing both on the
Ukraine battlefield & public opinion in Europe.
On an intellectual level, Europe is already dividing into two camps:
-Peace (compromise)
-Justice (win at all costs & teach Russia a lesson)
