Putin's alternate thread heading titled "Ukraine no far from falling" IS FALSE.
The MSM is reporting that the Russian advance has stalled. My reading is that the Russians are still advancing slowly but are being pushed back on several fronts.
The fog of the day is hard to discern on occasions but the broader picture is a partisan styled war of attrition. Putin is losing that war.
Ukraian tough men proclaim on You Tube that the Russians are fighting this like it was 1941. They point to scattered Chechen bodies all over the road and into a service station. The Ukrainians say this type of fighting suits them. It is their land. It will continue.
If Putin wasn't desperate he would not be using Syrian mercenaries.
Military people generally agree that a casualty rate of 25% is a mission failure for an aggressor. Putin's fighters are apparently trending towards that threshold.
On the numbers, Putin's Communo-fascist force of 200000 Russians, Chechens and Syrians can't win against a partisan force of 900000+ heavily armed fighters if both sides are suffering high casualties at a similar rate.
